Weather: cold and very windy
Comments:
Ran the 1600 and then the 800. In the 1600 I think my first lap was 82, and then all the others averaged to 90 seconds each. A 3.4 second track 1600 PR, so that's good. If it wasn't windy I would have certainly broken 5:50. I've realized that I don't have much of a kick anymore, so I'll have to start working on my sprinting a bit.
In the 800 I was in the slower heat. I was almost last place for the first 125 meters or so, but then I started to pass people and got into second after 150 meters, and kept that place for the rest of the race. That was a nice feeling. The wind wasn't quite as bad as in the mile. I knew I had slowed down in the second lap, so it didn't come as a surprise for my splits to be 76 and 82. Good day overall.
This site doesn't take decimals but my 1600 was 5:52.6 and my 800 was 2:38.4
