It was a pretty hot day, but I did decently anyway. I started off with an open 4 in my sprint spikes that I bought freshman year but never used, and I got stuck in lane 8 so my first 200 was too slow. I picked it up (I think) for the second half and ran 55.3 or so, which is comfortably under qualifying, a nice achievement even though I'll never run the 4 at states.
Unfortunately I hadn't really broken in the sprint spikes, so although they felt good, they gave me lots of blisters on my little toes. I went back to the Vics for the second 4 (I got switched to the 400 in the sprint medley when Toby couldn't run) and ran well. Jorma didn't get our splits but I'd say it was feasible that I was under 55 that time.
Also a pitiful cooldown as always. This week's mileage is going to suck.
