Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Felt overall good today. Was happy to be able to contribute many points for the team and race pretty well overall. I had only gotten 6 hours of sleep 2 nights and 1 night before the race and had been up dancing, so I was pretty tired but it didn't feel all that bad actually. Did the 2 mile strategically slow but still ran pretty fast. Then the thousand was against Cory and I drafted him until 400 left and and passed him. With 250 to go, we dead out sprinted and I held him off enough so that he shouldn't have cut in but he did so I tripped and lost my stride in order to not go out of bounds and then jogged it in. Pretty sure I would have beat him otherwise but I guess LLP never know. Fun race though, and then I ran the mile and felt horrible for the first few laps and basically just ran it strategically, slow on the turns and fast on the straights to keep the pack from going. Very tired by the end if it, but pretty happy too. Third year winning sectionals!
