Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
We got to the meet and I felt really focused and ready to go. I was ready to run a fast time. Then the weather turned worse and the meet got delayed for 2 hours. In that time they actually told us the meet was cancelled like 3 different times. So, I didn't think I was racing today. I wasn't focused when they decided to run the meet. I wasn't mentally prepared to run anymore I was expecting to run tomorrow at that point. They said they were going to get in as they could before it got dark. They only had like and hour and a half to do that and only got in like 2 events before the delay so I was still pretty confident that I wouldn't run today. I ran around for my pre meet and got in like 4 miles. They ended up moving through the meet more efficiently then I had ever seen in my life. At that pint I knew I had to get prepared to race. I still was kind of mentally out of it though. The meet slowed down a little bit after that and it started to look like we weren't going to race today. I lost focus again. It looked like the only way they would have time to run the 2 mile would be if they combined the 3k and 2 mile. We were told that they would't do that. Then get this, they combined them. I had to run the race and I just wasn't mentally ready to race. The race didn't go well at all. 3rd week in a row where my race was screwed over because of the way the meet was run. Sucks. I don't know how I would've ran if the meet was ran well and I was mentally prepared for the race. It would've been better for sure but oh well.
