Last year i ran 29:42 here, this year i ran 27:58. I ended up 11th out of 1200, which was pretty cool. went out like an idiot in 5:12 following a bunch of my friends from high school who went out in 5:05 or so. I ended up beating all of them by over 45 seconds, which was pretty nice. It was a nice confidence booster having done really only 1 tempo and 1 hill workout over the last 3 weeks or so. I also got invited to train with a local club when i get home for good, which will be pretty sweet. tomorrow i'm going to double because a shakeout in the morning will do me wonders (I hope). the course was kinda difficult, 2 times around a 2.5 mile loop with 3 decent hills on each loop. I felt solid on the hills until the last one where i started to really feel that first mile come back to bite me. overall i'm happy with it.
