Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Hot
Comments:
We started out warming up as a massive pack of sweaty, shirtless men, ending at Martin Luther King Rd. After some drills and dynamic stuff, Coach Lanese had Gerome, Michael, and I run with the slowest tempo group just to see where we are aerobically. We were put in the 6:40 to 7:00 pace group, which sounded pretty damn slow but I figured it was just to test us. After three miles we were done and supposed to have a heartrate between 160 and 170, but we barely hit 140. Overall the run felt pretty good and in-control. I think three miles is the sweetspot for AT work for an 800 runner, but I'd definitely like to pick up the pace substantially.
