Comments:
It has been bad weather the whole week. 90 percent humidity, 81 degrees, and the sun out early in the morning. I had planned on making this an easy run, but I didn't stick to plan. I ended up running with some of the top guys. The workout was a progressive tempo and they planned on starting at 7:20 and ending at 6:40. I was ok with that and then I could decide if I wanted to get down that low at the end of the workout. We started off super fast. We started around 6:30 pace. I was stupid and held on. I made this workout so hard so early into it. I was so tired 2.5 miles into the workout. My legs were tired too. Especially, after having no easy days this week to recover. I should have just gone at my usual easy pace. I am pretty mad at myself for getting sucked up into the pace. I couldn't even finish the 2 laps. I stopped after 4 miles to let my legs recover. I just jogged back. It was a bad workout. I ran with my new shoes today as my first run in them. They loosed and up and weren't as stiff after. They felt ok for the first run. My calves got sore after though. I iced them so hopefully it is better tomorrow. I am going to wear my Kinvaras tomorrow to give some rest to my legs. I might wear them to do a double tomorrow night. Overall, it was a pretty bad run. I did get in some fast running, but it didn't help me out. It only made me super tired and I wasn't able to get in the full distance. My mile times were 7:47, 6:47, 7:06, 7:32, and 7:54 pace for last .9 miles.
