Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Felt good for the warm up before the 800 but was pretty nervous for the race. It's been a while since I raced track and I was coming off being sick and not having great workouts. Overall I was happy about the 800, I felt really strong during the race, a little boxed in at times but had a good finish. Just tried to do what you said and relax the first 4 and finish strong. Think I went through the 4 around 68 which was the goal. finished 2:23.1. Cooled down, calves hurt. Not much time between the 8 and 12 since it was a small meet but it was fine. A little frustrated about the 12, it was hard racing alone plus by the third lap I knew I was running too slow. I tried to pick it up but it didn't go so well. I know it was a double so I'm trying to be positive about it. At least I felt good during it so I know my hard work is paying off. Now I know what to expect for a 12 so if I ever run it again I know it will go over better, but not sure of my exact split. During the cool down I had such a bad cramp by my ribs I only made it about a half mile. I couldn't even breathe it was so so bad. Calves are on fire. Distances are rough estimates for the day
