To and from STA

Weather: 80 ish and humid enough

Comments:
Decided to run to and from STA practice. Set off at what I hoped was a comfortable pace, but as I was running late, I definitely wasn't truly taking it easy. Pace down Wisc was 7:20, then 7:10 for the first two measured miles. Took 18:22 or so to get there, cutting down the gully next to the Lower School.

Ended up running with a variety of groups and people, never going very fast, even when doubling back alone. That was 40 minutes and maybe only 4 miles. Felt heavy and slow as is always the case with these sorts of runs. Route was "the back way," and I never got further than Porter (twice.)

After another good half hour of half hearted stretches and chatter, I convinced myself to run home. This was the best I'd felt all day, and I was excited at the prospect of having my runners drive by, so I found myself moving decently well without too much effort. Pace was right around 6:50 per mile for the last two miles. 18:00 for the ~2.6 miles homeward. I iced both feet after dinner.
