Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Kind of regret saving both my tempo and long run for the last two days of the week but I blame my work schedule for that. Anyways because of my watch fiasco that I had yesterday I decided to map out my tempo beforehand. I was glad I did so because I realized now that my watch is about .05 off. Chose to run my tempo at the Saddle River County Park because I didn't feel like running 12 laps on a track especially by myself. The park has some small hills which I like because it more so simulates a cross country race. The thing that posed as a mental challenge was the fact that my watch beeped .05 late because it threw me off regarding both pace and mileage but I tried to stay focused. That being said, I felt relaxed and composed the whole run. I negative split my tempo but I didn't go all out the last 800 like I usually do. It definitely felt like I could maintain or possible increase the pace for the next mile or two. Today was a good indicator of my fitness level at this point in my training.
