Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Alumni run. Damn I don't know what to say. I fucking needed today. I can really just leave it at that.
To be honest after the race I felt I had more to give. That's probably the lack of distance training lately but I'm still happy with the result. Chilled in the mid-back of the pack through mile 1. At the hill it was just time to go. I tried to pull some guys along with me. Shoutout to Andrew for some great words of advice. Then made it up with Goose behind Broshan. Goose and I kept eachother nice and honest switching off on the ups and downs and curves through the last mile. Kick wasn't great considering all the speed ive put in lately lol.
Also the Achilles hurt like a bitch on the warmup but I didn't feel it at all during the race. Hurt on the cooldown too
To test, Girbs and I did a half mile on the track barefoot after we got back. Still hurt then but some striders after that felt great. I guess going fast in spikes/barefoot seems to help which is honestly not what I was expecting.
while stretching it out i could press on it and it would almost crinkle which is a bit concerning but it doesnt hurt unless i stretch it out. So I've been doing lots of stretching, rolling and icing.
So, once again I have myself wondering if I should keep going for xc. 11th on the team is where I would have liked to be if I was on the team. But at the same time going hard for Oberlin doesn't do me much good. The best I could do there is make a statement but I think I already have.
