Comments:
Guessing on the warmup mileage but pretty sure that we did like 11 laps to start out which is 1.375 miles. Then we took a quick water break and did 5 mins at cruise pace. Right after we did another 5 min at tempo pace. The entire warmup felt great. I was pretty pumped to get our first workout in. I'm always excited to get a little better. The Cornell coach had a workout going before we started with one guy, he was going hard. Anyways we got some water after the tempo and then proceeded to do some ins and outs. We would jog the curves very slowly and then did strides in the straights for 6 laps. Right afterwards we got some 100 repeats in the progressively went up in pace from tempo to sprinting while keeping good form. I did one extra one on accident cause I was in the zone. These felt great, it was good to extend my stride a little. My felt alright but I was a little tight. I kept the paces good. Then we did 50 meter repeats going from 800 pace to sprint. For our recoveries for both we walked the rest of the track. To finish it off we got a 400 in that was supposed to be mile pace. To be honest I don't really remember what mile pace is, and I was doing all sorts of sprint work so I went flying out of the gates. I kept the pace except for the last 100. Where I was getting a little tight. I had a part in my back that felt like pinched also. I was breathing fine though. It was nice to get going really fast again. Finally we did a cool down outside. It was about 10 mins and it was a fun cool down.
