Comments:
Ran to Crescent with a stop at the park near Willard. Felt very stiff in the knees and never really loosened up nor focused. Settled in with various members of the top girls and mid-level boys groups. 4xhalf mile. From River up to Bethesda and then back, taking 90 seconds to jog at each mile post. I varied my pace within most intervals depending upon what was needed, but my own times were probably around 3:00, 3:00, 2:55, 2:50. Never pushed myself other than to get going when the first one started and I'd yet to warm up. Team looked amazing... Just so very capable... and they couldn't even recognize that in themselves as it just felt like an early season sloppy workout to them. Ran home slowly and stiffly in a pack with minced steps.
