Really liked this workout and day in general. Started with the 1 mile warmup then went for a 15 min warmup into fall creek. We got to the cemetery hill and talked with Weishaar then got to the workout. I was feeling very good. Workout was:
6x 30" on 30" off 30" on up the hill then back down for the recovery or 3'. Knew this workout was gonna be a tougher than last time and that was defintely the case. First one was a little tough because we were just getting used to the workout. Definitely the hardest part was slowing in the middle and speeding back up while still going up the hill. Could defintely feel the lactic acid in my legs. The second and third reps felt fairly controlled. Wasn't pushing all that much but was still breathing hard. The last 3 I wante to go just a little harder each time. I wanted to push the other guys a little. So we went a little further for 4 and 5. The 6th I just let it go. I went up controlled then once we hit the slight crest I took off and kept pushing upwards. Finally got that race feeling/feeling of pushing myself again. Finished with a 10 min cooldown with Hunter and Neil and the rest of the guys wanted to go right back inside. After that I did some drills and strides with Silas, jogged a little around the track and just talked a little. My lower back has definitely been very sore lately so I will do anything I can to get it better. Took a lot of weight out of my backpack and did 40 mins of back relaxing exercises late tonight.
