What has been wrong with Running Log lately?

Got out for my first run since last Tuesday. A week felt right for me. Not running seemed to make me feel worse, and I realized how much of my life can actually depend on running and exercise. It helps clear my mind, and make me feel better physically. Anyway, I ran an out-and-back from my dad's house in Dryden after standing outside with him holding signs for his re-election. He's the Dryden Deputy Town Supervisor, so nothing big. Although it made me have to run in the dark, it actually felt good being a part of the the election process. I started out the run pretty fast, but then slowed down a little after a mile. It was good though to get out for a run and clear my mind. I did some core afterwards: 31 push-ups, 60 crunches, 31 leg lifts, and 100 total cherry-pickers. Also did some stretching.
