third good run in a row

December 27, 2016 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mild! 50s and clear, although sun had just set

Comments:
Ran easy up to Central Park at about 4:45pm, pausing to say hello to Leah and Lew in Banana Republic. Took 5:06 to reach Central Park West. Looped the reservoir twice at an accelerating rate. Lots of passing of pedestrians and some runners. Rarely had to break stride completely. Maintained pace on the run back to Dad's, and then cooled down for half a block after that. Got some pretty reliable quarter mile splits along the reservoir as recorded below. 1:54, 1:50, 1:46, -, 3:34, 1:45, 1:44, 1:41, (:29 for the .08 to complete the 1.58 loop), 1:38, 1:38, 1:34, 1:35. Then 3:59 from Central Park West back to Dad's front door. I felt very good (despite some usual aches at the knees and generally stiffness early on) and was very encouraged to have a nice, brisk run, albeit fairly short... especially after a strong, longer run 48 hours ago and a decent run yesterday (which I'll backlog soon). Also got to watch nephew Tobi race at the Armory this afternoon. 10:25 for his first 3200 of the year.
