Guatemala 10K Benefit

June 17, 2017 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Out to mountain run station this morning for a benefit 10K towards a Guatemala mission trip for our church. I wanted to use this as a baseline of sorts for fitness - keeping in mind the start was at 10am with temp. around 90 degrees. Most of the course was in the sun, but flat.

My plan was to start slower @ 6:30 - 7/mile and then do my quickest for the second 5K. When I started the first mile was 6:07, followed by 6:16, and 6:28. I was slowing myself down here although I felt pretty good.

Then, we had 6:28, 6:11, 6:16, and 5:35 (.49 worth). I felt that it was hard from mile 4ish and on - maybe a bit more aerobically than on the legs.

So, decent baseline given the temperature and that it was a loner race. I'll take it.
