Weather: humid, hot, sunny, low 80s
Comments:
Tried to hold back for the sake of my calves which I've just given three days of total rest. Plus, I haven't fully recovered from the food poisoning episode I had Wednesday evening/night (although the fever I had only lasted that Wed night).
Jogged the warm up and then lumbered about a mile per race for 6 races. Left calf was tight throughout the day, but didn't get awful. Right calf was tight, but stayed fine the whole day. Leah Snider nicely massaged the left calf after the meet. (astoundingly painful, but certainly helpful too.) Like our runners, I felt extra lethargic with the weather and the hills.
