First log in a good long while, but I figured I wanted to get back into it to be able to look back on the season. Also to see if anybody finds it interesting what Brown crew does day to day.

Started with a 20 min redline: 4 min at 20 s/m, 1 min at 24 s/m. I was on the RP3, so using that split. I wasn't super happy with how it went. PRd by .5 splits, mostly thanks to going out at a 1:50 for the first 9 or so minutes. Average was a 1:51.2.

After that we got a talk about fitness from JB (coach), mostly about the need to build fitness now. We didn't have a great showing on saturday, went slower than the comparable boats at Yale and Northeastern in pretty much every boat. I think the problem has more to do with lineups and technique than fitness, but the coaches have other ideas.

After that, we did a heptathlon: 3x1k on the erg, lap around the park, 20 bench jumps, 20 butterfly situps, 10 pushups, 10 bear bar cleans, 5 pullups. 3 times through. Went pretty fast on the first set of 1ks, not so much on then next two. Other parts when well though. I think it took about 1 hour 5 min. No water today.

Spent some time in the tank afterwards working on port, trying to match up with Andrea. Must get better on this side to move up before Head of the Charles, I think unlikely I get boated on starboard.
