Exercise Type: Run
Weather: near 40, fading light
Comments:
A morning full of chores (including taking Leah to urgent care for her smashed finger). An afternoon volunteering at A Wider Circle. got home in time to run with Peter Metz at 5:15ish. While he is no longer in my 3rd grade class, it was still great to catch up with him. We've seen each other so rarely in the past 5 years, it was nice to hear about his Wash U days, steeple experiences, and current life in DC. We ran to Chevy Chase Club and with the light fading, we stuck mostly to the course. It was nice to get a solid pace going and I was reluctant to wrap it up too quickly so we looped Chevy Chase and Conn Ave a bit. The pace must have been below 7:30s on average, and very possibly under 7:00 for the last stretches. Felt really good and never strained. Kept up conversation, but it was faster than usual.
