March 26, 2018 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 50 and sunny
Comments:
Returned to DC mid afternoon, after less than 24 hours at a cabin near Front Royal, VA with the family and dog. I failed to get in a run on Sunday and wanted a steady day of decent mileage today. Feeling not super motivated, I decided to put on running clothes and take Anna to dance at 4 in Bethesda. Then parked and ran onto the Crescent Trail. 2:114 to get to the first mile marker at Ourisman Honda. Turned 4 miles later above the Arizona overpass and allowed myself to work a bit harder on the return than I had on the way out where I'd worked hard to stay controlled. I felt pretty good and was pleased that I could just have a run like this without any special effort, after a couple hours in a car, etc.
Splits: 7:37,7:19, 7:18, (paused to tie shoes and do leg swings) 7:06 turned uphill at 31:35... 7:03, 6:58, 6:55, 6:37 (w/ a bit of effort) 1:53 cooldown back to the car. 61:03 total for a controlled run where I just felt fit, but not straining in the slightest.
