Vineyards make great wine, but lousy running

August 15, 2018 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 90s, not humid, very sunny and a little smokey

Comments:
After a lazy day at Dale and Marla's vineyard, I walked down to the pond with Leah, Anna, Josh and Tala (Manta Ray). After five minutes of blackberry picking, I took a meandering run through the vineyard and serpentined my way back up the steep hillside terraces to the main house. The total run was about 32 minutes and the pace can't have been very quick. I'd bailed on my original plan to run the big D St and I Street loop in Petaluma in the morning, so this was penitence. Knees (especially left) were aching due to poor footing and the hernia area/back were quite unhappy all day, presumably from the "speed" yesterday. Spent all day Thursday flying home alone.
