There was some down time between races at Last Track to Philly and Mark encouraged me to fit n my run, so I headed out with Lauren Silberman and we started off around the cc course. Fairly hard frozen ground was covered with a thin layer of mud and made for very unpleasant slipperiness. After about 8 minutes of slipping up and down the hills near Rockville Pike, I pushed on ahead of Lauren and looped the flat fields and roads closer to the tennis bubble and field house. I even took a lap and half on the track to confirm my pace was below 7:30 by then. I was wearing the old Vongos with orthodics and my feet ached as well. I felt awful the entire time and it was a miserable run, all around. At least the meet went well.
