I'd assumed I wouldn't be doing this run, but Saturday morning, I couldn't resist throwing shower supplies in my bag and keeping the ritual. Started with four, slow laps (5:00) with the team after we arrived at the Flippin Field house. Added on a five more minutes at a descending pace which maybe got me to sub 7:00 pace. Three more consecutive 400s were descending from 6:30 to 6:00 pace. A cooldown lap in 63 was followed by an 800 in 2:49. Another cooldown lap of 1:18 led up to an impromptu 400 in 82. I then jogged less than 4 minutes and hit the shower. 25 minutes total for a number of laps I don't care to calculate, a very sore outside of a right hip for the rest of the day, and a sense of satisfaction for having sweat once again on the Cathcart Track.
