Surrounded by hoppers

July 14, 2019 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 80s and humid, getting hotter by the minute

Comments:
Was expecting a hopper or two, but ended up with six runners coming over at 9am to join my run. Took an unnecessarily complicated route east to enter Rock Creek Park by the police stables and then ran Western Ridge trail to Boundary Bridge. Came up one of the confusing hills to Winnet and zig-zagged awkwardly out to Western, and returned to 3944. Pace get going fairly quickly as the company motivated me and while I was working in the heat, I was able to keep it fairly steady through the trails. Had to consciously work on the uphills, but never got miserable. Plenty tired, though, by the end. Pace must have been around 7:30 for long stretches, but it is hard to tell, these days.
