Need to make time to back-log

August 15, 2019 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 80 and horrendous humidity

Comments:
I was probably already a bit worn down from tennis with David, although we only played for half an hour and it was lightly raining while we did. Either way, we played at 4. (I won quickly with lots of net play and lobs 6-1.) Then I beat him in ping pong 23-21. Then I drove Leah to practice and parked at the the HS. I set of down Reno alone and wandered through Geico hoods to Little Falls trail. Used the dirt trails for most of it and then took Crescent to Dorsett. I didn't feel horrible for most, but I was not moving lightly, fluidly, nor freshly. Pace up the trail was 3:52 and then 3:58 over the River Rd hump. I confirmed that the green trail sign just Northeast of Dorsett is the quarter mile mark and then doubled back. Cut through the bamboo trail and then through Somerset back to River Rd. At his point I was officially drowning in the humidity and slogged my way up River to school, grateful for every stoplight I hit. Maybe I'm still feeling Wednesday's ascent in Helen Putnam park and the long flight home yesterday. Hopefully I can clear this up by Saturday. Stole some of Leah's water while waiting to drive her home. Impressed by all those who ere at school today to run the Satellite loop. Didn't make it a full 6 miles, but I was certainly closer than to 7.5.
