Mini bus to Canal on Rosh Hashannah

September 30, 2019 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: muggy, but cool, 70s and damp

Comments:
Had our first rain in a month. Turn out at practice was small. Drove about 8 runners to Sycamore Store and we descended to the towpath and jogged northwest to the lock. (6 minutes) Then, with Corbin, Oliver, Charlie Baar, and Ethan Burns we ran at around 7 flat pace for nearly 3 miles northwest. Paused with Corbin and Oliver to buy books and then returned at what was supposed to be a slower pace, but turned out to be within a few seconds, exactly the same as we'd done outbound. Admittedly, I was tired from the race yesterday (and my final uphill kick), but 7 flat felt an awful lot harder than I remembered. Still, I focused and did it which was satisfying. Definitely fell within the "tempo" range for me, though.
