Comments:
Last I saw the weather forecast still had it in the low 40's but I think it was a little chilly for quicker stuff in shorts.
Warmup felt smooth, a little fast. Drills felt good and 4x30 striders felt fine - feeling the cold a little bit.
Workout was:
2x400 @ 5k pace (1 min rest)
1600 @ 5k pace (3 min)
1200 few seconds faster (3 min)
800 few seconds faster (3 min)
400 all out
Splits below. Overall thought this went pretty well. Might have been a little conservative with the pacing - Aimed for 5:50's which puts me around 18:00 for 5k. The 400's at the start were good for finding my footing. Also really happy with the progression. Was able to pick it up really nicely and it felt comfortably hard. Legs and lungs were screaming a little bit at the end of the 800 and for the last half of the 400. Also my throat was hurting and it was getting hard to breathe but it was a cold, dry evening and our apartment is already super dry.
