How many of these nice spring runs am I going to have?

May 7, 2020 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 60s and sunny

Comments:
Wisc-Bradley-Conn-Livingston with extension down 41st to Garrison to Wisc at the start to add the extra mile. I guess I typically spend a lot of spring days standing at a track timing or checking on field event athletes. This spring (which seems to be hovering in the 50s and 60s for months) has given me endless beautiful runs. Perhaps the glory of the runs is being accented by both the monotony of distance teaching and planning as well as the extra sleep and family time I am enjoying (unlike anything I have ever had before in April and May)? Ran alone today, and while my first half mile was just over 4:00, I was moving well by the time I got to Rodmans and without much effort I was surely below 7:30 for most of the run. Starbucks to driveway was 62 seconds and driveway to front walk was 56. I sprinted 30 meters after that for some controlled fun. Feet are a bit sore, but I'm generally feeling pretty good these days. I should be trying to get core work going and I'm sure a few long runs and speed workouts are all it would take to go from "solid routine" to "in nice shape."
