Exercise Type: Run
Weather: pleasant, 60s
Comments:
Loper planned to close out her spring season with a long run. She's never run an hour, so that was her goal. I also hoped we could break the 6 mile mark. We started with some mutual grouchiness as we were slow to get out the door and reluctant to do this when the time came around. Still, we headed indecisively down Livingston. At Conn I decided we should head north and we did. Cut onto Meadow Ln north of Bradley and veered onto Oak and eventually spilled out onto East-West Highway. Took a chance to cut into the Purple Line construction zone through a poorly closed gate and cut across under another fence into Lynbrook. Wound our way through to the Wisc intersection just south of NIH. Took Wisc home with a cut through up to Cedar along Oliver. Ended up being a very enjoyable 63 minutes and exactly 6 miles. Now that Leah is starting her break, I wonder if I'll have the motivation to run each day?
