July 5, 2020 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: low 90s and humid
Comments:
Met Leah Snider at Peirce Mill at 4:15 and took the usual out and back to Wise Rd. Pace stayed below 10 and might have even dipped below 9 at times. Feet were tired and achy by the end, and it felt like a long run, but breathing and fatigue levels were fine throughout. Very nice to catch up with the Phoenix. Air cooled noticeably halfway through and storms were developing in the area. We saw a mighty lightning bolt in the distance and felt a major cool down draft with two miles to go, but it never rained. Still, it was nice to have the dramatic anticipation. I'd stashed a water bottle behind a tree at Military and Beach which was helpful and reflected the walk Anna, Sally and I did right beforehand. A good way to finish the week and nice to have hit 40 miles.
