Line em up knock em down

Not thinking about the daunting task ahead of me has been super helpful for getting these huge workouts in. Just 4 mile sections, no big deal. Just need to line em up and knock em down.
Another great Sunday workout. It was cold, windy and rainy but felt pretty good. Did the first 3 with Michael which helped keep the pace chill.
4 miles race pace was pretty good although there was a pretty strong headwind in the last 2. Goal pace 6:40-6:30

4 miles tempo started with a huge 2 mile tailwind lol which helped get me in the groove. Goal pace was 6:05-5:55
(5:57, 5:51, 5:51, 5:51)
4 mile cooldown but the watch died

Probably the best pacing job I've done yet. Was slightly worried 2 miles into the race pace but I relaxed into it and ended up feeling good through the tempo portion. Might have been digging a bit/grinding for the last mile of the tempo but the heart rate didn't get too high (although I didn't check it myself)
Think this solidifies that I'm fitter than I was even in college. Not sure I ever really did much longer/faster than a 4 mile tempo at that pace without 8 miles before.
