Hill Yeah!

January 11, 2010 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First hill workout of 2010! YEAH!

In all honesty, I hope the hill part was beneficial because the rest sort of felt like a waste- but we did do it on Coach's recommendation, so it must be a good idea.

Anyway here's how it went down. I got there a little late after telling kids at CVMS not to do drugs all day with the SDAFDFY. It was cool I was like a mini celebrity there. I knew kids from church, kids that knew my brothers, kids that knew my friends, and kids that just enjoyed my speaking (I was pretty good if I may say so myself, (actually I don't have to- Mrs. Stiles, commented [twice!] that she was very impressed with my speaking)). What does that have to do with my running? Nothing! Why am I talking about it then? Because you cared, don't lie.

But your right, I should move on. After arriving late, I gathered all the boys, who then headed out for a house-park and down to the front of the school. In the front of the school we went 3x(3 hills @ 100%) with a 2:00 break between sets. It felt pretty good I suppose, or at least as well as I remember it feeling, so that was cool.

We concluded with the hills and went out for a Reverse-Extended Bike (is this the run called Jafek Run?). The run was pretty cool I suppose though a little slow, but that was cool because Webby (back for the first time since before cross country ended) needed a slow run. Unfortunately, true to Saturday's form I needed to stop to go to the bathroom at the end of bike path, but Connor waited for me, and we headed back finishing at a respectable pace that I excuse for 2 reasons:
1- The hills at the beginning.
2- I was not in my shoes that I had left in the trunk of the Saab which my dad took to work, and was running in my Dave-Gift Livestrong shoes which are great, though heavy.
It was a day which, after typing here, I will in all honesty put behind me and forget about. AS a matter of a fact I have already forgotten.

Why am I typing here?

How do I get away from this webpage?

What is going on?
