One of those good Saturday runs after coaching at Prep all day. Got a short nap and headed out before dusk to loop the golf course. Extended by doubling back across the greens. I'd avoided the trails as I was feeling good and wanting to more more swiftly. Knowing I might race the 1600 at Sunday's all-comers meet, I kept trying not to get carried away, but I may still have gone quicker than I should have on the day before a race. I also seem to be a bit dehydrated and am perhaps fighting off a virus which is preventing me from absorbing fluids? Moon was nearly full and just-risen and sunset was solid. These runs are as satisfying as any race... and it turned out I didn't get to race on Sunday.
