A goat in its natural habitat

April 26, 2023 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: light rain and 60s

Comments:
A busy day prepping for Cassel's and Penn and then drove through the usual traffic to Haverford, arriving nearly at 7pm, this time with 7 male sprinters, William and Coach Djenne Parris. Led the boys and Djenne on a meandering 11 minutes (1.2 miles according to Bazemore) through campus and left them at the track. Extended solo along nature trail, feeling very good, took the slate path past the meeting houes, soccer fields, and Polo fields and into Bryn Mawr. Past the site of the Crazy Lady slap and back to campus on Lanc and Yarnal. Finished up with some laps on the track as the sprinters practiced hand-offs. The track portion was a gently accelerating mile of 6:33, immediately followed by a 200 of 42 and a 200 of 38... no "recoveries," just acceleration. It was fun to move quickly through the rain in the fading daylight through a very green campus. Quite a pleasurable run. Jogged 200 and helped crash through crowds to simulate Penn 4x4 exchanges.
