Golden Gate Park, SF with GDS Alumni!

After 25 years of offering alumni runs over the holiday from my house in DC, I decided this year to offer meet-up runs in NYC, DC, and SF over Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. Today was the California run, and despite three people having to bail out at the last minute for various reasons, we had three alumni and a partner show up, Kate Cullen with Aniel (sp), Adam Hemmer, and Colin Whitmarsh! Ran over from Si's house feeling shockingly sluggish. Headed out from the DeYoung around 4:10pm, looped the polo fields and returned to mid park where Kate fed us orange slices and fresh cookies from her trunk. Eventually dropped the boys at Colin's car and looped down to Stanyun before doubling back to Kate's car. Eventually crossed the park and headed home solo feeling fine and frisky, except for the aggravated heel (one of the reasons I skipped Thursday's run... extra irritated by the long run and walking on ocean rocks on Wednesday. It's pretty sore now too, Friday evening. Really fun to catch up with these alumni and sorry it didn't work out for the other Bay Area folk.
