No Glory. Walked around the Univ of MA Field Station with the family. Lovely. Had biked from Moors End there and Si was biking back to the house, so the plan was for me to run back while others drove. Knee was pretty unhappy during the walk, but the first 3 minutes of running felt good and I waved the car to go on home ahead of me. I felt more energetic than on Monday and had taken Tues off due to the achy knee. About two miles in, the right knee began to click and was not right. Paused for some stretches and continued, grateful for Si's company. Knee was unreliable for the next 600 meters or so, up to the main rotary, but I messed with my gait and pushed through and eventually the clicking and pain seemed to resolve as I found a good stride and quickened my pace. Was strong through town and finished up Walsh at 1:02 pace for the first half... Consciously accelerated and finished in 1:54. Then I couldn't walk. Lay on the grass for a bit, but noticed the knee was significantly swollen on both left and right sides. Biggest issue has been bending or straightening which initiates painful clicking sensations. Stood in cold water and then floated at boat beach for 10 minutes. (Also took 10 min to get there and back.) Hope to heel quickly and will give it a few days of rest.
