at Hershey

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Mixe of warm and cold, but windy all the time

Comments:
1600 sucked again. I went out in a 1:16, and couldn't even hold that. I have no speed and really need to work on it. Nothing hurt but I just couldn't go faster for some reason.

3200 was a bit better. Went out in 1:16 just like the mile. Hershey's top 2 (and only 2) dropped me then in the second lap. The gap then stayed at about 40 meters for the rest of the race. I worked with Ziggy and Henson to a 5:35 mile where I felt perfectly fine. I made a move to drop Henson there but Ziggy sprinted up in front of me again so I just sat on him to let him break the wind. With one lap to go I took off, dropped Ziggy and made up about 30 meters on the 3rd place kid by the home stretch. I was dead and the Hershey kid out-sprinted my by a meter or so. 1:11 last lap. 5:26 second mile. I really need to adjust my splits. I felt fine every lap except the first for some strange reason.

First time all season I didn't have had stomach issues which is a good time. Times weren't good though so I'd hoping Tuesday I can just put everything together in one race and get a 10:29 in the 3200 to make Stan-Morgans.
