crazy track meet

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: windy! and chilly and snow at some points

Comments:
the night before, i was very sore and my legs randomly cramped twice, and i have not had the best nutrition for the last few days, so everything was a little off, which made my mental strength low, so i knew i wouldnt have great races. plus it was windy and cold. im just not taking this meet extremely hopeful for a pr. we had a duel meet against EFA and we ended up winning. i ran the mile and the 2 mile. in the mile, we started out really slow, like 1:12 i think. idk the exact splits, but we kept it slow until the 800. then alec and Even picked it up, and tim and i did a little, but not enough. once i start slow, it is hard to pick up the pace a lot in a race for me, so it was difficult. with 400 to go, tim was slightly ahead of me and we were trying to catch up with Even. we didnt do it but we got close. i got fourth with a time of 4:57. alec won. all of our times were slow. in the 2 mile, i got out slow because i didnt realize the gun was shooting at the other end of the track for the girls, so i was not reacting fast. i got up to about 7th, and then at the end of the second lap on the straightaway, i made a move and got into 1st/2nd, ahead of alec and on the outside of Even. (my dad did not see this part but im not making it up)then i got back to 2nd place on the turn, and on the far side of the track, i passed him, but he passed me back on the inside and pushed me out of the way. then i passed him back again and he stepped on my heel which tripped me up. i started falling back and by the end of the third lap, i was in about 7th. the rest of the race was just me running with noah right behind me. at one point i accidentally went a little out of bounds because i passed ttea on the inside when i thought i had room but i didnt. on the last lap i caught up to zack and passed him at the end with a time in the high 10:40s or low 10:50s. i think it might have been 10:51. then i did a lonmg cooldown and 6 striders. i probably am wrong about the time and mileage for warmups and cooldowns beause i sometimes left my watch running
