Man oh man what a race.
I was pretty disappointed at first but then Harm talked to me and said do I need to look up last years time for you to show you how much you've improved? and that it was so much hotter and I cannot be disappointed. So that made me feel better.

First mile, I felt great! Oh my! I was EXACTLY where I wanted to be! my first mile was 7:15 and I felt awesome. I was way up there to, and I knew I could keep the pace.
But on that 2nd mile, oh my gosh. I don't know what happened. I think it was the heat. It REALLY got me. I went significantly slower on this mile, i got like 16:43 I think. And that wasnt even the worst of the race. I heard my team and you guys shouting for me but my legs couldnt go faster. I dont know why. I had a slight bit of motivation and caught up to a teammate but then I just died again.
third mile just sucked. so bad.
I was trying so hard to tell myself I'm not suffering but I knew I was. I would surge only to get passed during this race. I lost so many places after the first mile which was unmotivating.
I went so slow up the hill, which is not what happens at practice! I knew I could do that hill, I just was wiped out. And I realized I only had 600 meters left and really tried to move faster but again my legs wouldn't go much faster. My mind was not in it, I guess.

This is the best time I've gotten on the course though, and my 2nd of the season so being disapoointed is kind of dumb. All the JV girls had to run in that heat, not just me.
I'm also getting over a cold and stomach flu so I really need to not be so down on myself.
