Woo woo! 3:59:21! I was 4,463 out of 21,856 finishers. This was NOT EASY! The crowd support and the nature of this event - so many runners running in honor of military members killed in action - make this a wonderfully moving event. By mile 22, however, I didn't feel like moving anymore, but remembered Father Dan saying, "Don't forget that you are running for those who can't." Anyhow, at about the half-way point, I realized that under 4 hours was a possibility, and I kept my focus on that. Andrew ran 3:34:08 and came in 1,516th place! I am sore as hell as I write this (Monday at 1100). God is great all the time!
