headed up to upenn later with feeney & his mom, which was very convenient. wasnt trying to get there at 10 with a race at 5. was pretty surprised to find that inside the stadium was pretty windy and cold. got a solid warm up in then the race started. it was one massive heat but i think i got out well in a 70 so that didnt effect me much in the beginning. i didnt hear any splits after that other than 73s but wasnt sure if they were for me. apparently the teammate that takes splits didnt feel the need to let me know what they were? went through the mile in 4:51, the fastest first mile of any 5k. i immediately started to fall off after that to a 9:59 2mile and it only got much worse. the last mile was by far the worst, but i think by that point i knew the race wasnt going to be what i had hoped so maybe i got a little unfocused. a lot of people passed me in the last 3laps. i'm pissed because those people that passed me ended up running in the 30s. got back and feeney's mom drove us to potbelly's which made me happy. no excuses of course, but i woke up at 6am 4days this week for work my running schedule was pretty off as well. i dont know, didnt feel like an easy week.
