Weather: 75 hot humid sunny

Comments:
one of my closest friends from middle school is trying to get in better shape before he climbs denali this summer, so he's been running 2 miles a day. I invited myself on a run with him and we did closer to 3.5-4, which was a huge step for him! we also went boy pace, which is just naturally faster. I felt great, and we kept conversation the whole way, but it was not a walk in the park. so cool that I can do that! he was huffing and puffing by the end, and I was like "come on let's go faster I'll race you!" ...i think as runners, we get so caught up in our little track world in which everyone runs sub 2:30 800s and sub6 miles...and it's easy to be disappointed when those times are out of your reach...but we forget that that is just a tiny tiny segment of the population, and the majority of people are mad envious of what good shape we are in! It was so cool to be stronger and faster and have more endurance than this boy who is like nationally ranked for swimming and is built like a greek statue. go runners! we rock! :)
