Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Nice, but a bit humid
Comments:
So Baker texted me today and was all like, "The bridge in Robert E. Lee is open, and I want to run the trails back there, but I need an elder to show me the way. Do you want to run them tonight?" And I was all like, "You know it dawg" and then I thought about it, and my senior year I ran the trails 0 times, my junior year I ran them 1 time, and my sophomore year was the last time anyone ran them regularly (because the bridge has been closed since then). It was literally 2008, or 3 years ago, the last time I really ran them. Crazy how fast the time goes. So we ran out there (Bro Galbs was with us for a while too) and it was glorious. We agreed to conduct mapping expeditions throughout the summer to finally document all the trails.
I'm just estimating the distance because it's hard to tell. It might have been longer because it was a pretty quick pace on the way out to the trails, but whatever. Shin hurt a little, but I wore my tendonitis compression sleeve on it, and I think it helped somewhat (Credit: Steve "You'll Always Be My Bitch" Hyland). Pretty tired after the run, but I'll blame it on the distance. Taking Sunday off so I don't up my mileage too much this week.
